Nothing against those classic "teen" shows but I just prefer something else. What you ask? Well... Recently I realized that I had more in common (in term of my TV taste) with eleven year old boys, and my dad. I find it kind of funny, but seriously it's what I prefer. So what shows do I mean? Here is my list (in no particular order):
1. Pawn Stars
A TV show set in Las Vegas about a family run pawn shop

Characters:
Rick

Normally he isn't that smiley

Rick owns the shop and is really tough to bargain with. He likes guns, and anything related to war. But he'll buy anything.

The Old Man

His name is actually Richard, and yes that is his normal expression

The Old Man is constantly being bugged by the rest of the employees, but he's still sharp as a tack and a pretty funny guy. He likes to buy the old stuff, old toys, old cars, whatever.

Big Hoss

His name is really Corey,

He likes to takes risks to try and come out from under his fathers shadow. He likes to buy motorcycles and anything big.

Chumlee

Yes this is how he usually looks

Chumlee is the guy everyone makes fun of. It's probably the only reason they keep him around. They don't let him buy much but he knows a lot about sneaker, yes sneakers.

2. American Pickers
A show about two guys (and a girl) from Iowa who drive around the country buying and selling stuff.

Mike

Mike buys lots of stuff, but mostly he's a bicycle, Volkswagen and sign type of collector.

Frank

Frank is Mike's best friend and when you're in a car with one person for days it's a good thing they're best friends. Frank likes to buy toys, motorcycles and signs but he'll buy anything cool.

Danielle

She's the one that finds who Mike and Frank should buy stuff from. She is the reason that they're still in business. She can sell anything the guys bring back. But they've only brought her on one trip with them, I think they're scared.

3. American Restoration
A show about a restoration shop in Las Vegas

Rick

Rick can restore anything and wants his son to carry on the family business.

Tyler

Yeah I know, nice hair

Tyler is Ricks son and works for the restoration shop I think he's about sixteen or seventeen.

Kowboy

Kowboy is the grunt and muscle of the shop, but as good as he is at taking stuff apart, putting it back together is not his strong suite.

Those are only three I have more so I'll be back.

But so is everyone in my family. On Saturday my mom and I went to a cute little tourist town before proceeding to see my art teacher's show. Both were a lot of fun, and yes I did take pictures.
Yard sales are lot's of work and I've had experience. In the past 2 summers our family has had I think about four yard sales and so I though I would share some tips as Yard sale season comes upon us.
For having a yard sale you must:
1. Price everything
2. price everything a little bit high but take less, people like to negotiate and think they're getting a deal.
3. bundle things, like two lamp shades for three-dollars, or once people pay you bundle their items and give them a discount.
4. make sure people know who to pay, have a table, wear the same color... something.
5. be prepared to take less than you wanted for a lot of things, but sell for quantity. Selling a few things for a lot of money isn't going to work, you have to have lots of stuff if people are going to stop ans shop. If you don't have enough stuff have friends donate.

For shopping at a yard sales:
1. make a list of stuff you're looking for, if it's something generic like clothes remember some good brands.
2. haggle, people will be willing to go down on price if you buy more than one item together or if the price is over ten-dollars, but you can haggle at any price.
3. Say hello, hi or good morning when you walk up to a yard sale, it makes you seem more personable.
4. but gifts at yard sales, they have nice stuff at low prices it's great, and sometimes you get more variety from yards sales, which gives you more unique stuff.
5. don't whisper, if the price is too high, if the stuff is disorganized, or if something is dirty. It offends people because they can probably hear you.
I'm so sorry I've neglected you (though you probably didn't notice I was gone.) I didn't mean to take a break I was just being lazy. Yep, no lame excuse here, I'll admit I'm lazy. But I guess I comes with spring for me. Spring + Me = Lazy. But other than the laziness, I really enjoy spring, or that was until I developed outdoor allergies to idon'tknowwhat. So even if I have to enjoy spring from inside with the windows closed, I'll take it.
I was a bit worried because I had only face painted once, and that didn't turn out too well. So being me, I youtubed videos on how to face paint. And it worked. I now really enjoy face painting and want to advertise my services. Why am I talking about this? Because it helps explain how I like to approach situations.
1. get the mission.
This is where I'm told what I'm doing, when it will be and what's expected of me.
2. Gather Information
This is where I learn as much as possible about what I'm doing, especially if it's something I've never done it before.
3. Do it (self explanatory)

Well that's it, that's how I accomplish new tasks.
Anyways as you probably know, today on TV's and computers everywhere i a wedding, the wedding of prince William. Personally I don't really care for royalty, or weddings so I won't be watching, but I would like to know why is this such a big deal. I know that William will be king one day but that doesn't really have anything to do with are political future, would someone kindly enlighten me?. I would like to say though that I personally would hate to be a member of the royal family, but I would also hate to be a celebrity for these same reasons. No privacy, you're compared to everyone, people get really mean if they're against you, and you have to look perfect all the time no matter what. Maybe some people like that, but again I don't understand it. And again I ask for enlightenment. I just don't see a function for all the flowers, guests, and stuff. But whatever floats their boat.
However we did dye easter eggs on Friday (yes I know a long, long time ago.) What does dying eggs have to do with painting roses? well it doesn't really have anything to do with it at first. Afterwards it does. After we dyed the eggs we had to get rid of the dye, and pouring it down the sink just wasn't cool enough so we took it outside and splatter painted our flowers with bright egg dye, our flowers are very pale, they needed a splash of color. This is the result.
Take, take, take it all,
But you never give
Should of known you was trouble from the first kiss,
Why were they open?
Gave you all I had
And you tossed it in the trash
You tossed it in the trash, you did
To give me all your love is all I ever asked,
Cause what you don't understand is
I'd catch a grenade for ya (yeah, yeah, yeah)
Throw my hand on a blade for ya (yeah, yeah, yeah)
I'd jump in front of a train for ya (yeah, yeah , yeah)
You know I'd do anything for ya (yeah, yeah, yeah)
Oh, oh
I would go through all this pain,
Take a bullet straight through my brain,
Yes, I would die for ya baby;
But you won't do the same

No, no, no, no
Black, black, black and blue beat me till I'm numb
Tell the devil I said "hey" when you get back to where you're from
Mad woman, bad woman,
That's just what you are, yeah,
You'll smile in my face then rip the breaks out my car
Gave you all I had
And you tossed it in the trash
You tossed it in the trash, yes you did
To give me all your love is all I ever asked
Throw my hand on a blade for ya (yeah, yeah, yeah)
Yes, I would die for ya baby;
But you won't do the same

If my body was on fire, ooh
You' d watch me burn down in flames
You said you loved me you're a liar
Cause you never, ever, ever did baby...
But darling I'll still catch a grenade for ya
Throw my hand on a blade for ya (yeah, yeah, yeah)
I'd jump in front of a train for ya (yeah, yeah , yeah)
You know I'd do anything for ya (yeah, yeah, yeah)
Oh, oh
You wouldn't do the same,
Ooh, you'll never do the same,
No, no, no, no

Honestly I don't really like the song, until recently. When I realized we are all like that girl who dumped him. No, i'm not saying we all go around dating and dumping. But we have done it with someone who truly loved and still loves us.Jesus. Three days ago he caught a grenade for all of us and we won't do the same. Jesus was beaten black and blue, had rusty nails shoved through his hands, and he did everything for us. But we won't do the same. Think of this song as Jesus talking to you, I'd feel awful and guilty especially when he says "Tell the devil I said "hey" when you get back to where you're from
Mad woman, bad woman,That's just what you are, yeah," But it's true, we will go to hell because that's where we're from, full of sin. When he says "You said you loved me you're a liar cause you never, ever, ever did baby..." That's also true with some Christians they say they love God but they don't.Today is easter we should be willing to die for the person who died for us, but we aren't. I know it's not really all that important, but my sister just knocked on my door and told me to wear 100% cotton. However I don't have 100% cotton pants the highest I have is 86% but it'll do. I do have a T-shirt that would be perfect for the occasion, it's made of 50% cotton and 50% recycled plastic coke bottles. It's one of my favorite T-shirts. Oh here's a picture of it.
I have been to two plays in the past two days. One, my sister's friend was in a musical (not really a musical but a collection of different songs from different musicals.) And two my sister had a ballet performance. They were both nicely done but the theater isn't for me. I don't like the crowds of people and the (sometimes) uncomfy seats. I totally respect the time and effort it takes to put on a play or dance but it's not really something I enjoy doing a lot of (I get peopled-out very easily.) But whenever my sister performs I'll be there no matter how uncomfy the seats are. iGirl/Danni you did great. So anyways, what are your thoughts on dramas plays and such? I'm curious.
Well I have one of those, it's not super weird, but it is highly opposed by my sister. It's also relatively new, well okay about five years old. What is it? oh, yeah... I want to live in the country. Yes my sister hates it when I burst out in random country songs, and wear plaid. I personally find it perfect, very fresh and well country-ish. I really wanted to buy the "Country Dance" Wii game, but no one would ever play it with me. My mom finds my country-love strange, because I will decorate my future country home, with modern black and white furnishings. But I like to call that eclectic. And yes, I will have a home in the country, with acres of land, in a small town, where my barn will serve as a meeting place for my future church's youth group. Yep I've planned my future.

ahh... A barn

So yes this is hopefully future life. But for now I'm stuck in the suburbs. And that is my confession.
Just thinking about it is cool. It's literally water falling from the sky. And then I learned about all the scientific stuff that goes along with it and it kind of messed up that idea. But I still think rain is incredible, it's cool, refreshing, and when it rains the world gets a shower and seems cleaner. I also happen to like cloudy days, they make me feel safe almost as if I were wrapped up in a big blanket of sky. So I thought I'd share with you this picture of a road after it has rained... Actually I believe it's melted snow but the feeling is the same.
So that song... the one I just typed... the one up there ^
Yes that one. In the 3 minutes and 48 seconds that it took me to watch it 111 comments came in. So why do I care about this? well honestly I don't really care, I'm just curious. Why is she such a big deal? The music company that wrote the song, did the editing and made the music video has done others. Why is this one so big? Maybe because it's "bad" instead of "good." It's easier to find music that you dislike than it is to find music that you actually like. Now I don't like the song or the singer, but it's kind of mean for everyone to attack her when she.... 1 didn't even write the song... 2 she wasn't picked up cause she was an amazing singer... and 3 she's thirteen. Personally I think it's ridiculous to "hate" someone, especially someone you don't know. Now I admit that I used to hate certain musicians just cause I didn't like their songs, but that's beside the point. Don't hate the person hate the song. Some people have a hard time doing that. But for a thirteen year old I think she's actually handling it pretty well.
So that's was my rant, I know not to impressive but I just had to say to all those commenters who hate her. Hate the song, not the girl. She didn't even write the song.
It's basically a talk show about anything Photoshop and or Photography related. One of the topics they talked about yesterday, was cell phone cameras. Stuff like, whether or not they were useful, what do you do with the pictures, and why are they so popular. Since the show is mostly photographers, this is not the average response. They said that cell phone camera were useful for scouting a location and stuff like that when they don't have a camera with them. They said they rarely did anything with the pictures and they also said they were probably popular because you can share them quickly. Many of the comments the show got during it's live broadcast said they would use it if the didn't have their DSLR camera with them. Then it hit me that I'm blessed with a redonkulous DLSR camera that many aspiring photographers don't have. So I'm going on a mission to bring my camera everywhere with me to take the most advantage of it. Granted I've already taken over 30,000 photos on it but I want to use it more. So that's my mission. Hopefully this blog will be filled with many more pictures in the time to come. But in the meantime, here's a picture while you wait.

Well I do. It sounds really annoying when you say it a lot though and so I'm trying to stop. But it's so useful, you can use it in a whole bunch of different ways. For example:
1. to say how much you appreciate something--- Yeah, I like Jelly Beans.
2. to say how much you appreciate someone--- Oh, I really like Selena Gomez (not really, it's an example)
3. to express a long period of time--- for-like-ever
4. to compare to things--- it's like that emu riding a rhinoceros (again it's an example)
5. to stick in there when you don't know what to say--- And like then we like went there and did like everything
6. to described what someone said or did--- And she was like "wow really?" and I was like "no April Fools."

So those are some of the top ways like can be used, are there any more I missed. So now in my plight to stop saying the "L" word I have decided to use a rubber band. Yes you read me no need to re-read. I said a rubber band. Why? Have you ever seen the Disney Channel show Suite Life on Deck, well when one of them want to forget his ex-girlfriend he puts a rubber band on his wrist and whenever he thinks of here he snaps the rubber band on his wrist. I know strange illustration but that's what I'm going to do I'll snap myself with a rubber band whenever I say li...the "L" word. I've tried I before but on and off but this time I won't take it off. Until I'm cured that is.
Everybody has that one place where they can go, that one place where they feel safe. That's why men have 'man caves' woman have...well the whole house. But my little comfort zone is my bedroom, I know original right. But seriously it's my space and I get upset when someone goes in there.
I have a personal space bubble around me, if someone gets too close I get uncomfortable. My room is like an extension of that bubble when people come in it makes me uncomfortable. Why am I talking about this? Well because last night I had a dream where people were coming in and out of my room and taking stuff (it was scary when it happened.) A while ago a had another dream about my room where some of my sister's friends came over and they decided to play in my room and have a sleep-over there. It's not like I'm not proud of my room, I am but it's my little space and it's my personal life it's like my brain put into bedroom form. And I don't want the world to see my brain. Plus the bad dreams and bad experiences of people coming into my room. So what's your space, your haven?
I not too good at it yet but it's a lot of fun here's my first project.

I know it's not super impressive but it's a start. The only really tedious part is making every single frame, it takes a long time to get each frame made because of placement, color, and size might need to be changed. But other than that the tools themselves are so easy to use in Photoshop cs5's animation panel. here's a step by step.
1. open blank document
2. put on first shape
3. make new layer
4. copy that shape onto new layer
5. make adjustments
6. repeat until you have as any frames as you want.
7. under the windows panel in Photoshop, find animation
8. click it (<---Very important step)
9. at the top right of the little animation bar there should be something that looks like and arrow pointing down with some lines next to it
10. click that
11. choose make frames from layers
12. watch the magic
13. save the magic by going to save for web and devices
14. make sure it saves as a GIF
15. post to your blog and link so I can see (optional)
so super simple, but tedious if you have to make a long movie.
Temperatures in the 50s and 60s and beautiful sparkling sunshine... But alas it wasn't meant to be, I woke up to a white back yard. It's crazy. yeah sure I really do like snow but exactly one week after the beginning of spring that's just a mean trick. But since there is snow and there is nothing I can do about it, I will tell you five reasons I like snow and five reasons I dislike snow.

Reasons I Like Snow:
1. pretty and white
2. perfect backdrop for bird photography
3. magical
4. free snow cones
5. it makes everything seem bright

and now for the opposing side

Reasons I DIS-Like Snow
1. my dog gets stuck in it and it gets stuck on him so the floor is very wet
2. makes you think you can sleep in when you can't
3. everything closes (except home school of course)
4. it's unpredictable
5. it's just redonkulusly (re-donk-u-lus-ly) cold

So you can see that I have a love hate relationship with snow.
Well I guess I'd better go get bundled up so I don't freeze in the is snow.
But (I'm not just a heartless blogger) I really do care. So, it's been exactly two weeks since this massive 8.9 earthquake that moved the island of Japan 8 feet from it's original location. Over 10,000 people are dead, and the numbers are still climbing. The lowest recorded aftershock was registered as a 6.0, the earthquake in that killed at least 65 people in New Zealand was registered at 6.3. The 2010 earthquake in Haiti, was registered at 7.0. But even though the earthquake was stronger in Japan, Haiti required more help to get back on it's feet. Why? Well Haiti's economy was rather disorganized. Over 10,000,000 people live in Haiti, out of that 10,000,000 only about 5,000 are literate, and out of 10,000,000 people one-hundred-thousand of them own almost half the wealth of the country. In Japan however contains over 127-million people, of all those people 15 and older 99% of them can read and write. Haiti needed more help to recover because they weren't doing that great to begin with. But the Japanese are doers, they build, and they invent, and they grow. The Japanese flag is white with a red circle in the middle, commonly red is the color of power, anger, and strength. While, white is purity. Like the flag the world is not perfect and pure, sometimes there are spots, but if we choose to let the spots destroy us, it's like wedon't want to try. The Japanese won't be destroyed by this earthquake, they'll come back stronger, though it may take time. They'll keep going... Like the Energizer bunny :)
I'm exhausted, my mom is sick, I'm behind on school, and some other stuff I can't think of right now. But I've decided to give you the pleasure of seeing one of the cutest little dogs ever... mine :)
His name is Coco, he likes chicken and rice, and he's very lazy.

Oh and he doesn't like having his picture taken.
But everybody likes him. Once when we got our Girl Scout cookies delivered the order slip said "to Coco's mom." and once after we had dinner and were cleaning Coco jumped onto a chair and then to the table and stole the last hamburger.
Well that's Coco.
Anyways last night (at about 6:30) I was sleeping peacefully when I was suddenly awakened by a vacuum cleaner-like wind accompanied by bowling alley-thunder. At first I had no idea what happening then I realized it was storming outside, but this was no ordinary storm the raindrops were huge and sounded like hail against the windows (I think it might have been hail) anywho at first I was scared as the lightning illuminated my whole room, but then I remembered that this was God doing this in the sermon just that morning the pastor had been saying how we tend to replace God with our gifts and when we do that we lose our fear of him (God I mean.) Trust me that storm has rekindled my fear for God and made me get a better picture of His power. If you want to see more "God power" go watch this video... don't worry it's short
It was nice and sunny with a cooling breeze passing through every now and then. I just recently started reading the book "Crazy Love" by Francis Chan, and in that book he says how much we take nature for granted (in other words of course.) So I've been trying to really enjoy nature to open the windows when I can, close the computer when I should, and be outside a whole lot more. People only spend 5-10% of their lives outdoors, if I live to be 70 then that means that I'll only have spent 3.5 years outside. To put that into perspective people spend up to 4 years in the bathroom. Crazy right?
